If you’ve looked at RNBO CNXSHN’s page already, you know that in late 2023/early 2024 we were looking to increase the J&R Spirit’s Dakota Playboy genetics in our herd and were on the list for a great-grandson/nephew. There were no guarantees that Lily would have a buck this year, so should we look for a back-up choice? Well, that amazing AI success that Kim had in fall 2024 had extended to an AI of GCH My-Enchanted-Acres Lovin Ava to none other than Playboy himself! And Ava is a great-granddaughter of Woest-Hoeve Royal Fortune who in the close pedigree of Debut, Pink, Memphis, Hero and Galaxy. We asked Kim to add us to Ava’s waiting list for her second buckling if Lily did not have a buck for us. It didn’t take too long to ask ourselves, “What are you thinking? Get on that list whether Lily has a buck or not!” Kim graciously allowed us to add a second bucking to our wish list. No way we were getting that lucky though. Either one of these bucks would be an amazing opportunity and we would be so lucky to get just one of them. When RNBO CNXSHN was born, we said over and over that we just couldn’t believe it. It just seemed that there was no way that it could it even be possible that we might be so fortunate as to get both. Tears of joy were shed when Kim let us know that Ava had indeed had a buck for us. 

Player is a beautiful red roan like both of his parents. He is very correct and long-bodied and I can’t wait to see how the genetics of these two bucks enhance and work with the wonderful genetics that generous breeders have entrusted to our care.
